Megan Bello started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in February 2017. She is a graduate of Gettysburg Area High School where she took one year of Child Development program with the Adams County Tech Prep. Megan enjoys spending time with her family, friends and their children. Megan works full time in our Toddler program.
Kelly DeVinney started at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center on August 29, 2017 as Lead Teacher Prekindergarten. She is a graduate of University of Maryland in 1989 and has taught Prekindergarten and Kindergarten in Baltimore, MD, Lake Helen, FL, and most recently Celebree Learning Center in Eldersburg, MD. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, served on the Executive Board for the PTA in Baltimore, and is certified in Maryland and Florida. She is a mother of an adult son and resides in McSherrystown.
Fred Froelicher started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in 1995 and is the Assistant Group Supervisor in the Prekindergarten Room. Before that he had worked as a camp counselor with special needs children. Fred loves to visit the Adirondacks, and spending time on the Board of Directors at Strawberry Hill, as well as time with his dog.
Kylie Gallagher began working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in January 2017. She is a Classroom Assistant who will be shared in the Preschool and Prekindergarten classrooms due to the high numbers in the afternoons. She is in Preschool in the afternoons from 2:00-5:30 pm and in Prekindergarten on Monday and Wednesday afternoons so Miss Kim can attend classes at HACC from 11:00 am-2:30 pm. Kylie is a graduate of the Child Development program with the Adams County Tech Prep and interned here at St. James. She is currently attending college at HACC as well, and hopes to be a pediatric physical therapist assistant. Her daughter, Aiyana, is in our Toddler Room.
Thalia Garcia-Amaya started at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in February 2016 as a part-time employee while she was finishing school in the Adams County Tech Prep program, and has been employed here since. She is currently in the Toddler classroom. Thalia enjoys listening to music and spending time with family and friends. She is also studying to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Kylsea Goodling started at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center on September 11, 2017 as a Morning Floater and afternoon Preschool Teacher Assistant. She is a graduate of New Oxford High School and Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associate’s Degree in ECE. She volunteered in the Kindergarten classroom at New Oxford Elementary School. This is her first job directly in Early Childhood.
Amy Miller started working at St. James Child Lutheran Church Early Learning Center at the end of January 2017 as Lead Teacher in the Preschool Room. She has been working in Early Childhood since 1986 in western Pennsylvania at Meadville Cooperative Preschool in Meadville, PA (which is a Star 4, NAEYC Accredited Program). She attended Allegheny College where she received her degree in English and Elementary Education. She has been a lead teacher for children aged 3-5 years. She is knowledgeable in the Emergent Curriculum Approach and connecting the curriculum to the children’s interests, needs and development. Amy lives with her husband Bill and has five adult children; Marlo, Nathan, Kate, Cassie and Dylan, and five grandchildren. Amy and her husband relocated to Gettysburg because she loves the Civil War and Battlefield. Amy also loves music (especially Bob Dylan), the Titanic and in her free time enjoys walking the Battlefield, reading and traveling.
Amie Murray started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in 1998 as the Assistant Teacher in the Older Toddler Room in the afternoons. Before that, she had worked at Stepping Stones (now known as Gettysburg Growing Place). Amie enjoys spending time with her family who also live in Gettysburg. Her hobbies include: visiting friends, watching classic movies at the Majestic Theater, and traveling. Amie also enjoys eating at the Cannonball Malt Shop, Ping’s Café, and other local restaurants. She is a member of the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church and serves on the Board of Directors for ARC of Adams County, and volunteers for their special projects.
Angela PungLung started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in 2008, after leaving Burma where she worked as a mid-wife. She is now a Nutrition Aid and Classroom Assistant in the Infant Room. Her husband, Rendar, and she have three sons: David, Jeremiah and Thomas. Angela likes to go for walks and spend time with her family.
Delanee Rasmussen started her career at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in March 2016. She has participated in the Adams County Tech Prep program and will graduate from Millersville University in 2020. Delanee is majoring in Early Childhood and Special Education. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, kayaking & boating and watching movies.
Jessica Reindollar started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in 2017. She has been working with children since 2009. She was a volunteer at Alloway Creek Intermediate School in Littlestown (2009-2011), enrolled in the Adams County Tech Prep Early Learning program (2011-2013), worked at Childcare Unlimited in Littlestown (2014-2017), and volunteers as a Sunday School & VBS teacher. Jessica enjoys photography, softball, and is a huge Harry Potter fan! She is the Head Teacher in the Infant Room.
Suzan Seibel-Willard came to St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center as the Child Care Director in January 1998. She received a BS degree from Millersville University with a dual major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. She has taken numerous graduate studies at Penn State University in Early Childhood Curriculum. Suzan received her original Director’s Credential in 2008 and has been renewed twice since that time. Suzan also is a Pennsylvania Certified Instructor in Early Childhood and trains other ECE professionals in the region. She serves on the Ready to Learn Committee for United Way and the Advisory Board for Adams County Tech Prep. Suzan has one adult son, Kodie. Kimberly Shultz started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in May 2013 after completing two years of the Child Development program with the Adams County Tech Prep. She is an Assistant Group Supervisor in the Preschool Room. Her family consists of her parents, six siblings, and a niece and nephew. She also works at McDonalds. Kim enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and working with children.
Kathy Smith started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in July 1991. She is the Assistant Group Supervisor in the Older Toddler Room in the mornings and is CDA (Child Development Accreditation) certified. Kathy’s family consists of her husband Gary, daughter Toni and her boyfriend Aaron, and daughter Monica, husband Mike, and their two children. Kathy is an active, lifetime member of St. James Lutheran Church. Her interests include: spending time with her church, family and friends, exercising, watching sports and movies, and doing yard work.
Melanie Soliday returned to St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in March 2006, after working as a Mental Health Worker and Case Manager/Supervisor at Hoffman Homes for Youth for ten years. She is the Assistant Director of St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center and Group Supervisor of St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center Kids Club. Melanie’s additional Child Care experiences include being an Educational Coordinator and Center Director for Rural Opportunities Migrant Head Start and the Director of St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center from 1994-1995. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and many Early Childhood credits from HACC. Melanie has three sons: Michael, Ben, and Peter. In her spare time, she enjoys: drawing, painting, gardening, photography, kayaking, traveling and spending time with her family.H
Hope Tosten started at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in 2016 as a Group Supervisor. She enjoys sewing, cooking and reading.
Kathy Tosten started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in 2019 as the Kitchen Cook. Kathy and her husband, John, have 4 children. Kathy started working in restaurants at the age of 14, and her love of cooking has been with her since. In her free time, Kathy enjoys coffee & lunch with friends, cooking, baking, gardening, and doing puzzles.
Stephanie Wright started working at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center in 2007 after completing the Child Development Program with the Adams County Tech Prep. She is lead teacher in the Toddler Room. Steph and her fiance, Jason Koontz, enjoy spending time with their six children: Jason, Jr., Chase, Bailee, Blaine, Olivia, and Delany. In her spare time, Steph helps to coach cheerleading for Gettysburg Midget Football.
Ciin (pronounced Chin) Zam arrived into the United States in the Spring 2016 from Burma, and started at St. James Lutheran Church Early Learning Center, and has completed 21 hours of training in Child Care! She has four teenage children, ages 12-19 years. Ciin also enjoys playing badminton.
