On Sunday mornings during the school year, our children from ages 2 through grade 6 meet from 9:30-10:30am in age-grouped classes.
St. James has a three-year confirmation program for grades 7, 8, and 9 which meets on Sundays during the school year from 9:30-10:30am in the Dining Room. Our pastors and several enthusiastic adult mentors serve as confirmation leaders. There is a weekend confirmation retreat for 9th graders and a special homelessness immersion weekend in Washington, D.C. attended by our 7th & 8th graders together.
Our Youth Minister leads our high school Sunday School class which meets in the Keyser-Foltz Youth House (121/123 York St.) from 9:30-10:30 am.
On Sundays year-round, there are 5-6 adult classes which meet 9:30-10:30am and which provide a variety of learning experiences. Some classes focus on Bible Study, other classes focus on current social issues, and other classes highlight Christian life issues. The best advice is to try several out and choose one which seems to fit your needs!
During the week, from September-May, there are other classes as well:
- Wednesday mornings at 11:00 am, Pastor Mike leads a weekly Bible Study on the upper floor (an elevator is available).
- Thursday mornings from 9:45-11:00 am, there is a fellowship/Bible Study in the church Gathering Area, led by Lucinda Bringman.
